Workshop
Ocean Decade workshop on fisheries and aquaculture
The workshop is held under the auspices of the Danish, Greenlandic, and Faroese committee for the UN Ocean Decade.

DTU Aqua is host for a three-day workshop with the aim of identifying knowledge gaps and possible solutions for sustainable management and development of fishery and aquaculture across Denmark, Greenland and the Faroe Islands.
Representatives from universities, industry and ministries will participate and focus will be on sharing national experiences and establishing a network across borders and stakeholders.
The offset of the discussions is in prioritized order the following three Ocean Decade challenges:
- Challenge 2: Protect and restore ecosystems and biodiversity.
- Challenge 3: Sustainably feed the global population.
- Challenge 4: Develop a sustainable and equitable ocean economy.
The workshop is the first of four workshops financed by Nordic Ministers Council – AG Fisk. The workshop is organized by Theme group 7 (Sustainable Fishery and Aquaculture) within ‘The Danish, Greenlandic, and Faroese committee for UN Ocean Decade’.
The workshop is only for invited participants.
